The make-up brand FÄRG has developed a limited edition color palette that is definitely a statement towards the beauty industry. The #FuckRacism palette contains all the products you need for the perfect base and contains colors to match anyone who is POC and loves makeup.
– In recent years, we have seen a positive change in the beauty industry where more brands are offering a broader range of colors, but the industry as a whole is far from equal. Especially in stores, the range only caters for those with light skin tones, says Aysha Jones, CEO and owner FÄRG.
The palette contains two foundations, a color corrector, a highlight, a contour and a dusting and is basically a way for FÄRG to both make dark base colors more available and highlight the need for diversity and representation throughout the beauty industry.
– Developing a few dark base colors or using black models in marketing is not diversity. Especially not when the colors you offer are not flattering for our skin tones. Real diversity is when brands are as committed to developing colors specifically for dark skin tones as vice versa, when the team behind the products represents the general population and when there is knowledge about melanin rich skin within the company, says Aysha Jones, CEO and owner FÄRG.
The profit from the #FuckRacism-palette goes to support projects and grassroots organizations that work for a safer and more stable everyday life for women and non-binaries, specifically single mothers.
– FÄRG foundation is a really important part of our brand and a way for us to ensure that we do good in society. We have an incredible advantage as a company and have been given this platform that we of course want to share with groups in society who normally find it more difficult to get help or have their voices heard, says Aysha Jones, CEO and owner FÄRG.
The FuckRacism palette costs SEK 757 and is available for purchase in FÄRG’s pop-up store in Kista Galleria and at fargcollection.se.
